Are you ready to take a step toward changing your life?
Before you let that question intimidate you, know that all it takes is that one small step to begin seeing changes you’ve been wanting for so long. Whether you’re here because you want to get healthier, need helping map out an action plan, be a bit more productive, or just need some external accountability, consider reading this page your very first small step towards reaching your goals. Congratulations!
I’m Brianna, and I’m here to help.
Throughout my life and my many different jobs ranging from voice teacher and children’s theater director to YouTuber one thing has remained the same; I love seeing people succeed. As a voice teacher, nothing made me prouder than when my students performed at a recital or landed a role in a show. I would swell with pride seeing my students succeed.
Since 2014 I have been running Diva and the Divine and over the years, my Youtube channel has turned into a community, and people have been positively impacted by my content. Nothing makes me prouder than DMs or emails from community members wanting to tell me that they accomplished something. Whether that’s losing 10 pounds, paying off debt, or simply tracking their food accurately for a day, my joy knows no end when others are making positive changes and becoming happier and healthier than they’ve ever been.
My Personal Journey
My weight loss journey started around 2007 while I was in college and I’m still on that journey over a decade later. I lost some weight in college (first with SparkPeople) then gained some back before graduation. I started Weight Watchers in February 2009, but wasn’t focused on losing and with the chaos of life post-graduation, gained 15 more pounds instead. After fluctuating up and down the same 5-10 pounds and hitting my highest weight in September 2010 I had had enough and finally got my act together. In November of 2012 I hit my goal weight having lost 57 pounds thanks to the WW Points Plus plan. I had achieved my lifelong dream number!
I did it through meticulous tracking of my Points and excessive cardio workouts. I was skinny. Too skinny. Not only was that weight too light, because I have Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (watch me tell the full story here), I had almost no muscle tone on my smaller frame. It was fun to finally be thin, but as my body would soon tell me, it was not a sustainable weight for me personally.
I worked as a Weight Watchers leader for two years, and I had a great time sharing my knowledge and success with others in my meeting rooms. I married my husband in January of 2014, and over the next year I slowly, but steadily gained about 10 more pounds. In 2015 when my husband decided to study abroad in Japan, he took me with him, and that adventure is what led me to gain yet another 10 pounds.
Over the years I have learned that my weight does not handle stress and big life changes well. (I know I’m not the only one)
In September 2017, I did something that changed my life. I ran into a new friend from church at the YMCA we had just joined, and she invited me to join her in Bodypump class. That was the day I discovered weight lifting, and it was the beginning of a big mental shift for my health and fitness journey. Until we moved to Minnesota in summer 2019, I went to Bodypump 3 days a week from that day forward and started to see the beginnings of what it might look like to be focused on what I had to gain (strength, energy, confidence, mobility) rather than what I had to lose (weight).
Even in our new home, I found Bodypump classes to attend. When COVID hit and shut down gyms, my husband and I started using Beachbody on Demand and the Liift4 program. That changed everything. Today, while I am not anywhere close to my original goal weight (nor will I ever see that number on the scale again), I can honestly say I am the strongest and the healthiest I’ve ever been. I have changed my mindset around food, and started focusing on nutrition and balance.
Yes, I still track my food. Yes, I workout almost every day. Yes, I’d still like to lose 25 pounds, but I am equipped with so much more knowledge and personal experience than I’ve ever been before, and I want to share that with you.
I’m still in the middle of my health and weight loss journey, but the truth is, this is a journey that never ends.
I’d love to be a part of your journey too!
When you sign up to work with Diva and the Divine Wellness Coaching, my goal becomes to see you succeed. Together we will discuss what it is you personally need out of me as your coach. I understand that everyone is different, which means my approach will be unique to your needs.
Are you here for nutrition coaching? Great! We will discuss an approach to food and fitness that fits your lifestyle.
Are you looking to pick my brain for a little bit of non-nutrition coaching? I can do that too!
My promise to you is I will do my best to equip you with the tools you need to succeed, but here’s the thing; the only person who can make progress is YOU. I will be your cheerleader, your sounding board, and your accountability partner, but I can’t do the work for you.
Paying money for a coach is not the magic ingredient that gets you to your goals. The commitment to the work that the money symbolizes is the magic ingredient.
With that being said, are you ready, willing, and able to commit to doing the work necessary to reach your goals? If you said yes, then it’s time for us to work together!
Why are you calling yourself a “wellness” coach?
I’ve decided I’m a wellness coach because I want to be more than just a weight loss/nutrition coach, but the term “life coach” didn’t sit right with me. The truth is, whatever reason you have for hiring me, we need to focus on your wellness as a whole in order to achieve maximum results. I don’t want to be the person that only focuses on your nutrition. I want to be the person that helps guide you so you feel like you can become consistent in your habits, take steps towards your goals, and finally have a mindset that’s going to enable you to be in this for the long haul.
What are the pillars of wellness we will focus on?
We will be focusing on the 3 H’s: Health, Habits, and Happiness!
What that will look like will vary from person to person, but I will not coach one without the other as all 3 are an integral part of your success.
- 1-60 minute Zoom call to set your goals and get a plan in place. 1-30 minute call monthly after month 1 to tweak things as needed.
- An in-depth tracker that will allow us to take a critical look at your macros, biofeedback, and all elements that are crucial to success in any part of your health journey
- Weekly check-ins over Marco Polo. I will look over your tracker, answer any questions or concerns, and modify your macros if necessary.
- High levels of accountability.
- Voxer access to your coach so you can reach me whenever necessary (*office hours will apply*).
- The highest level of priority and attention from your coach. If you go “all in” with me, I will do the same for you.
If you are interested in monthly coaching packages, you will need to fill out the application below.
Monthly coaching not right at this time?
That’s okay! I am also offering individual 1 on 1 calls in 60 minute ($69) and 30 minute ($39) increments. These are great for people who have a specific topic in mind that they want some coaching on, or if you need to talk something out to get the creative juices flowing. I am happy to help in any way I can. Access to purchasing these individual calls will be available on the site.
Please note: Minimum commitment is 3 months. All sales are final and all payments are non-refundable. If you are interested in purchasing a 4 pack of 1 on 1 calls (this is separate from monthly coaching) at a discounted rate, click here.
