Spring Cleaning the Pantry in 5 Easy Steps

Spring Cleaning Pantry

Spring cleaning is upon us, and I’m walking through various areas of my home and getting things decluttered, cleaned out, and organized.  The pantry seems to be one of those magical places where, no matter how hard I try, it becomes a twilight zone of random (usually expired) forgotten about granola bars, baking mixes, old holiday candy, and a can or two that was purchased ages ago.  While I’m trying to get better about regularly checking the pantry to make sure I use up what I have, it’s easier said than done. I decided that a clean slate was necessary.  Here’s how I went through my pantry and got it all cleaned out. Read more

Spring Cleaning For Your Computer

A few spring cleaning tips to get your digital life a little more organized.

When we think about spring cleaning we tend to think about tackling major cleaning projects in every room of the house.  This is all well and good, but sometimes we forget the “little” spring cleaning projects that could actually make a huge difference in the tidiness of our lives.  I don’t know about you, but when things are clean and tidy, it effects my mood in a huge way.  I’m more productive and ultimately happier and less stressed in a neat environment.  As a blogger, I am glued to my computer screen a lot.  This screen is my workspace for several hours on most days, so it dawned on me that “spring cleaning” my computer should be an essential part of the tidying up that happens this time of year. With a cleaner desktop, more organized files, and more free space, I feel a lot better knowing my computer is cleaner.  Here are a few of the things I did to spring clean my computer. Read more

Day Designer for Blue Sky Planner at Target Review & Giveaway

If you’re a planner girl like I am, I’m sure you have heard of the Day Designer planner.  If you know of the Day Designer, you also know it comes with a price tag of nearly $60.  If that’s a little steep for you, today is your lucky day.  What if I told you that a Day Designer was most definitely within your budget and could be found in your Target?  Too good to be true? Maybe, but it’s true nonetheless.  Day Designer teamed up with Blue Sky Designs and Target to offer you a few special versions based on the traditional Day Designer.  While there are several versions available, I’m reviewing one in particular.  The basic info:

  • Tabbed months

That’s right, I said $14.99!

Studio L2E BeYOUtiful Stamps

A closer look at the BeYOUtiful Plans planner stamps from Studio L2E

Studio L2E is a rubber stamp company that is taking over the planner addicts one sale at a time. A while back I wrote an intro to Studio L2E, where I reviewed the stamps that I had already owned from them, and it was such a hit that I decided it’s time to show you some of the recent additions to my Studio L2E collection, starting off with the stamp set that is perfect for the planner girl that likes all things girly.

This is the BeYOUtiful Plans stamp set. This set is perfect for the planner addict who is also into all things girly.  With a mix of icons, appointments, and a few pretty words thrown in for fun, the BeYOUtiful stamps are ideal for marking your latest hair or nail appointment in your Erin Condren Life Planner, or putting a little reminder to clean your makeup brushes in your Filofax. Spotlight on Etsy: PB & J Paperie

It is no secret that I am a planner girl/nerd/addict/enthusiast…whatever you want to call it.  I can’t get enough of planners, paper pads, and all of the accessories that come with it: cute paperclips, journaling cards, water colors, stamps, planner stickers…the list goes on.  While it is fun to acquire awesome brand name products like a Filofax or the latest Erin Condren Life Planner, I personally find that in order to turn my planner into something super fun and functional I look to Etsy shops.  Planner stickers are huge on Etsy right now..like, really huge. I decided that it was time to shed some spotlight on the small businesses on Etsy, rather than always focusing on the big brands.  This is the start of a (hopefully ongoing) “Spotlight on Etsy” series on my blog, where I will feature different planning related shops.  I’m kicking off this series with a great little shop that offers big colors in tiny packages.

2015 Erin Condren Life Planner

ECLP2015 TitleDespite the fact we are only a few days away from April (what??), I decided that this post still needed to happen.  Last year I had the pleasure of owning my very first Erin Condren Life Planner. While I personally don’t have one this year, as I am testing the waters with a Filofax, after my obsessing over my ECLP, my sister bought herself one for 2015 and was kind enough to let me photograph it so I could write about it.  While I might not have a 2015 Life Planner, I can truly say my heart still belongs to Erin Condren products.
