Guys…it’s October! Where has the time gone?? Time to take a look at what some of my favorites were for September!
Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss in Blushing Bride– This lip gloss is a little bit of everything nice. The formula is not sticky yet extremely hydrating, making it a very pleasant thing to apply and reapply throughout the day. Blushing Bride is a great “my lips, but better” mauve pink that matches anything I might decide to wear. The doe-foot applicator has an indentation in it so it hugs your lips, making it easy to apply. Oh, and did I mention it smells like vanilla? It’s SO tasty. This gloss is powered by jojoba oil and vitamin E and is always in my purse.
Avene Cleanance Soap-Free Cleanser– Thank you Birchbox for another find that might become a staple in my skincare routine. This cleanser is made from French thermal springs and offers an amazing feeling clean without being over drying or making my skin feel tight. I use a bit of this with my Foreo Luna Mini and it foams up really nice and rinses away clean leaving my skin happy and grime-free. The bottle says it’s great for oily and acne-prone skin. Win!
First Aid Beauty Daily Face Cream– I LOVE this face lotion. It’s oil-free, suitable for sensitive skin and won’t clog pores. I’m already on my second bottle and I fully intend to purchase a third when I run out. It offers great hydration without being too much for my oily skin. I also love the easy to use pump dispenser that locks to prevent spillage. I really don’t know if I see myself switching to another face lotion anytime soon, at least for the day time.
Surface Awaken Shampoo– This shampoo is one of my favorite finds as of late. I basically like it because the tingling sensation thanks to the natural capsicum and menthol in it brings an amazing cooking and energizing sensation to the scalp, but this shampoo is so much more than that. Palm and coconut oils cleanse the scalp, follicles, glands and the hair itself, and my cooling ingredients help revitalize the hair follicles to aid in nutrition delivery. Vegan proteins like soy help strengthen while mineral ferments (zinc, iron, copper and silica to name a few) revitalize and bring hair back to life and healthier than ever. I mean, I knew the product was good, but it’s good for way more than feeling awesome. The down side is definitely the price tag. I know in the salon, a liter of the stuff is upwards of $60. While the liter can last a good long time, especially on shorter hair, it’s a far cry from the $5 I’m used to spending at the drug store. Even so, this stuff is great.
Bath and Body Works Hand Cream in Pumpkin Spice Latte– I’ve always been a fan of the Bath & Body Works hand creams, and I’m thankful they’re only $5. Shea butter and vitamin E are absorbed quickly so your hands are hydrated but not greasy. and the smell. Well, it’s basically all good fall things in a bottle. I can’t handle the awesomeness and I hope I can find another. I can’t find this particular scent on the website, but maybe if you check the stores you’ll find you haven’t missed it yet.
Aldi FIt & Active Flatbread– For around $2.00 a pack, these flatbreads taste good and pack a great nutritional punch. Only 100 calories, 8 fiber and 9 protein making them only 2 Points Plus each. Fantastic for breakfast wraps, lunch, pizza bases and more. LOVE these.
Cappuccino Yankee Candle– This candle brings so much joy to my home..at least for me. My husband couldn’t really care less about the candles I burn. This candle smells absolutely delightful. It’s a little bit sweet, a little bit coffee and a hint of vanilla (that’s my guess). SO good.
Thomas’ Pumpkin Spice English Muffins- I love light English muffins, but I decided to treat myself to the 4 Point Plus Pumpkin Spice ones, and I am sure glad I did. These are amazingly soft, so when I toast them and spritz them with a little spray butter they taste like pumpkin spice decadence. If you’re a pumpkin spice fan like me, you definitely need to give these limited edition treats a try.
