My Sephora VIB Sale Haul – April 2015

Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Lip Balm | DERMAdoctor Cleanser | Rosebud Salve | Bare Minerals 5 in 1 Cream Eye Shadow | Kate Sommerville EradiKate | Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders Minis

Since I shared my proposed shopping list for the Sephora VIB sale so I figured I should share what I actually purchased as well.  It looks a tad different from my original wish list, but I’m super excited about it all the same.

1. Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Lip-Oil Balm ($16)- I bought the shade “Rose Passion” (deep blush) after swatting almost all of them in the store, but after trying it on at home I loved the formulation so much I immediately hopped online and ordered another one. The second shade I bought is “Pink Passion” which is a youthful pink color perfect for summer.

2. DERMAdoctor Ain’t Misbehavin’ Cleanser ($27)- I wasn’t planning on a new cleanser, but I was a sucker for the woman selling DERMADoctor in the store.  After we chatted for a bit about my horribly acne prone, yet easily dried combination skin, she led me to this cleanser, which I decided would be worth a try.  It’s a non foaming cleanser formulated with effective, but non drying ingredients.  Salicylic Acid is the primary acne fighter while Glycolic Acid helps unclog pores, and witch hazel and allantoin add some natural anti-bacterial and anti-irritant properties. It sounds like a great balance for my fickle skin.

3. Smith’s Rosebud Salve Tube ($6)- After hearing several YouTubers rave about this product, I had to give it a try.  This is a thick, rich balm that is multifunctional. It can help with skin irritation, burns, and minor cuts, hydrate cuticles and elbows, and is an amazing lip balm, which is what I intend to use it for. Much cheaper than the agave mask I wanted to get for my lips.

4. Bare Minerals 5 in 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow– This is a long wear, natural looking cream shadow that carries SPF 15.  I decided to give this a try as a color correcting eyeshadow primer, as I like making sure I have my darkened eye areas corrected before applying shadow.  I bought the shade “tan.”

5. Kate Sommerville EradiKate Acne Treatment– I said I wanted this and finally got it. This is a strong 10% Sulfer anti-acne spot treatment.  I’m hoping I can use this to conquer new breakouts before they really have a chance to get ugly.

6. Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders Mini Set (22.50)- I’m becoming more and more interested in this brand, and I’ve heard amazing things about the products that come in the 3 Little Wonders set. In this set are 3 products that can work with any skin concern as they brighten, resurface, and hydrate the skin. The 3 little wonders are

  • Truth Serum Collagen Booster
  • Sheer Transformation Brightening Moisturizer (I’ve used this before and loved it)
  • Invigorating Night Gel

I can’t wait to see how these products work together.  I am grateful for the chance to try the minis,  because the full size products are quite an investment ($182 for full sizes of each), but if they are as amazing as I’m led to believe, they could be well worth it.

100 Point Perk: Clinique Moisture Surge Advanced Thirst Relief Gel– I decided to spend my points on a super hydrating moisturizing gel by Clinique because with all of the anti-acne products I’m trying there is a chance I’ll need an extra boost occasionally.

That was my haul for the Sephora VIB sale.  The sale runs through tomorrow 4/21/15.  VIB members can use code VIBLOVE at checkout to receive 15% off their online order.
