New! Erin Condren Petite Planners For 2021

*Links in this post are affiliate links. Thanks for your support*

Did I really say “2021?” Why yes, yes I did.

I got my hands on some of the latest and greatest from EC and just in time for me to start my #Last90Days challenge. I am a big fan of having a clean slate when a new challenge or start date for something happens, so this launch is perfect.

The Petite Planner folio system is a way for you to easily customize your own gorgeous folio with 4 books that best suit your needs. The three that I have to share are the meal planner, goals planner, and the 2021 daily planner set.

Before we dive into the books themselves, I just need to take a second to acknowledge just how stunning this icy blue folio is. The photo does NOT do it proper justice.

Planner Girl Gift Guide 2017

Goal Planner

If you have a planner girl, odds are she would enjoy planners other than her day to day agenda. One of my favorite things to plan (other than my day) is my goals and how to achieve them.  There are a ton of goal planners around, which means there is something for everyone.  A few of my favorites are the Shining Life Planner by Leonie Dawson (which I’ve had for 4 years running now), Daily Greatness journals, and this year I found the Kikki.k goal planner. Each planner has a different style of planning, but they are all excellent and would be a really fun gift, as your planner girl could spend the last week of 2017 planning her 2018.

Planner Stickers

Planner stickers are all the rage right now.  Etsy shops with gorgeous stickers are more than plentiful, and major planner brands have finally joined the party as well.  Some of my favorites are the stickers available from Erin Condren.  They’ve had really cute sticker books for a few years now, but they’ve branched out even further and basically have a sticker page that makes me want everything I see.  They have cute themed sets, including some that are meant to accompany their adorable and awesome new themed petite planners, and transparent dot stickers, which is something I’ve been wanting for a long time to track things on my year at a glance calendars.  Whether your choice is Etsy, Erin Condren, or the amazing planner area at your local Michaels, planner stickers are a fun and function gift for planner girls everywhere.

Washi Tape

For the planner girl, washi tape is pretty much a given. Whether you’re a total washi fiend or just a planner minimalist, washi tape can be a simple and fun way to jazz up your planner pages.  There are washis with themes (I have cupcakes, bread, books, and more), tons of colors, foils and glitters, and everything in between. The best part is washi is found in craft stores all over, so you no longer have to take to the internet to find sun washi tape.  Head over to Michaels or Hobby Lobby and you’re sure to find plenty. It makes an amazing stocking stuffer.

Erasable Pens

My planner forever changed when I got my hands on these erasable pens.  I wanted to write in color, but was always afraid of things changing and then having to cross it out and make my planner look less pretty.  Maybe that’s crazy, but it’s the truth.  Erasable pens allowed me to color code and write pretty things in my planner, but erase it clean if something needed to change. For this planner girl, it was a dream come true.  Bonus: there are also erasable markers on the market!! I have them, and yes, they work! Read more

Erin Condren 2017-2018 Life Planner Review

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!  No, it’s obviously not Christmas season, but for planner addicts everywhere it certainly feels like it is.  It is time for the new 2018 Erin Condren Life Planner releases! I know, it feels like we just got our 2017 planners, but there’s no rest for those that plan ahead.  This year is the 10th anniversary of the Erin Condren Life Planner, which is so impressive! I’ve been an EC fan since my first planner in 2013, and I’ve had one ever since. Throughout the years I’ve seen many changes and improvements made to the beautiful life planner, and this year is no different. While the general idea behind the bright and colorful Life Planner is the same, there are so many new options that allow many people to make this planner what they want it to be. Let’s take a look and dive into the 2017-2018 Erin Condren Life Planner.

There are SO many options for personalizing your planner this year. Here’s the breakdown:

2 Color Schemes: Colorful or Neutral

3 Layouts: Vertical, Horizontal, & Hourly

4 Coil Color Options: Gold, Silver, Rose Gold, or Black

Cover options: Interchangeable, personalized covers with 12 new classic designs and 3 new metallic designs (with multiple color options in each) or  a non-removable, leather-like luxe color option with 3 color choices (light taupe, sapphire, and black), the same coil options, and 4 (3 letter only) personalization options (blind print, silver, gold, or rose gold)

Brand new this year is the HARDBOUND Life Planner.  It comes in 4 colors (each color book has a different color and theme inside) and 2 sizes.  5 x 8 (horizontal only)  & 8 x 11 (vertical layout only).

I think that covers the basic idea of what’s available.  I got my hands on a vertical layout, colorful Life Planner, so that’s what you’ll see more of below.  However, you can see pictures of everything else on the Erin Condren website.

What’s New?

First, and quite possibly the biggest change, is the paper upgrade that all Life Planners received this year.   This year EC used Mohawk paper company to put thicker 80# paper in our planners, giving us a more sturdy page with less pen bleedthrough.  The tabbed pages are also thicker and no longer require plastic reinforcements at the binding.  A small detail, but worth noting.  Read more

Erin Condren Seasonal Surprise Box | Spring 2017

Starting this year Erin Condren decided to put out a seasonal mystery box full of exclusives, sneak peeks, and product favorites.  The catch is you don’t know what is in the box until it shows up at your door.  By the time you start seeing posts on Instagram or on YouTube, the box has long since been sold out and you wouldn’t be able to get your hands on it anyway, so you have to be willing to fork over the moolah and hope for the best. The box costs $35 and ships free in the USA.  I didn’t get the winter box, but I decided to take the plunge for spring.  Curious as to what is inside?  Read on!

“Wicked Fun” with Erin Condren

wicked-fun-with-ec

While I don’t have enough space, cash, or desire to throw a giant Halloween bash, I love celebrating seasons and holidays, and Halloween is no exception.  I have a few decorations out, some spooky treats in the kitchen, and some of the latest Halloween goodies from Erin Condren in my office.  Only EC could make Halloween fun and functional.

For those of you that don’t know, my all time favorite musical is Wicked. Wicked centers around Elphaba (more commonly known as the Wicked Witch of the West) and Glinda from the Wizard of Oz starting before the events that we know from the movie.  It’s brilliantly written, the music is incredible, and I’ve been hooked for years. To say I’m obsessed is putting it lightly. When I lived at my parent’s house, I color matched my bedroom to the musical’s poster.  My college senior recital was titled “Defying Gravity,” and I even got a lime green Ford Fiesta before it was cool (ok..it might not ever be cool, but there are definitely a lot more of them around now) because it was the perfect shade of “Elphaba green.”  See? Obsessed!

wicked-planners

When I saw one of the Halloween releases from Erin Condren had Wicked written on it, I knew I had to have the collection, so I picked up a few (okay..all) of the “Wicked Fun” items EC offered to give my office a little bit of a Halloween flair.

My Life Planners both got makeovers to stay current with the holiday, and while my blog planner is sporting last year’s October cover, my personal planner is sporting the new “Wicked Fun” cover in my favorite wicked colors: Elphaba green (aka to the rest of the world as lime green) and good old black.

journal

I have been obsessed with the bound journals that EC released this year, so when I saw “Wicked fun” was offered as a journal cover as well, it went into the cart in the same custom colors as my ECLP cover.  This journal proudly bears a quote from my favorite song in the musical, “Defying Gravity.”  Not only does the journal make me smile, but it’s great for writing down my ideas for various Halloween festivities.

While my planners and notebooks rarely leave the office, the EC Halloween offerings can be used in other parts of the holiday too.

cupcakes

For some baked goods to serve at a party (or just to myself and the Mister), I had my sister (who is the baker at Deanna’s Delights) make and frost some yummy, festive cupcakes for my acrylic tray. While many people don’t necessarily think of purple as a Halloween color, I find it goes perfectly with my “Wicked Fun” acrylic tray insert from EC. I customized the colors so they felt a little more “Wicked the musical” and less wicked witch with the giant wart on her nose, and the purple and orange treats matched perfectly.

Holiday Tip: Add a few drops of food dye to your frosting or cake batter for an extra festive feel.  You can give something as simple as boxed cake and canned frosting that extra special flare.

cookies

EC also has a gift label for every occasion, and Halloween is no exception. I decided on some with the bats to complete my Halloween collection, and they’re perfect for labeling the cookies I’d love to give to friends for the holiday. All you need is a clear plastic bag and delicious treats to put in them. Ta da! A cute, personal Halloween treat.

As with most EC products, the personalization and customization of their products is practically limitless, and Halloween is no exception.  If you want to get your hands on these wicked fun goodies before they fly away, you should head to the site and order soon.  First-time customers can rel=”nofollow” sign up using this link and get a coupon for $10 off their order.

What are some of your Halloween party or home decor tips?

*I was sent these products in collaboration with Erin Condren, but all opinions are my own. Using my referral link also grants me $10 credit to EC.  Thanks for supporting my obsession and my blog*

10 Things To Do This Month | June 2016

I’m seriously having a hard time with the fact it’s already June!  Don’t get me wrong, I am thrilled that the summer weather is here, but I feel like it was only a few weeks ago that my in-laws were here celebrating Christmas.  Time flies.

This month I decided that I didn’t want to do a “goals” post, but I wanted to take a slightly different route.  Here is my new “10 things to do this month” post, where we can take a look at 10 things that we want to accomplish or do.  Some things can be goal-like, but others can just be fun and simple to do list items that will make those of us who like to live seasonally feel a bit more seasonal.  Here’s my list of 10 things, but if you have something to add, comment below.  Read more

NEW Recollections Planner Inserts at Michaels

Recollection Inserts

By now there’s a chance you have heard that Michael’s stores have brand new planners and planner inserts by Recollections showing up in store.  I happened to see a fellow YouTuber’s video when she saw them in store, and I knew I had to hunt them down.  I managed to find the Recollections planner display in a store not too far away (they seem to be rolling out now, but aren’t available everywhere yet) and while I looked through all of the insert options, I decided to only purchase a few that were the most relevant to me at this moment: Goals, Inspiration, and To Do’s. I didn’t get any of the planners because I currently use my Erin Condren Life Planner and I have a personal sized Filofax Malden, so I didn’t need one.  Although, since the planners are only $19.99 and it’s easy to get a 40% off Michaels coupon, I’m sure I’ll own one at some point.  Read more

Spring Cleaning the Pantry in 5 Easy Steps

Spring Cleaning Pantry

Spring cleaning is upon us, and I’m walking through various areas of my home and getting things decluttered, cleaned out, and organized.  The pantry seems to be one of those magical places where, no matter how hard I try, it becomes a twilight zone of random (usually expired) forgotten about granola bars, baking mixes, old holiday candy, and a can or two that was purchased ages ago.  While I’m trying to get better about regularly checking the pantry to make sure I use up what I have, it’s easier said than done. I decided that a clean slate was necessary.  Here’s how I went through my pantry and got it all cleaned out. Read more
