Sephora Play! August 2016

It’s always a happy day when my Sephora Play! box comes in the mail. I didn’t do any posting about it last month, but I discovered a few new things that I love thanks to that box, so I figured why not start telling people whats in the subscription? Since I canceled my Birchbox subscription last month, my Sephora box is currently the only beauty subscription I currently have.

Each month Sephora has a theme, and August’s theme was “The Eye Openers.” As one who currently struggles with things like under eye circles and puffiness, I was anxious to see what was inside my box. Here’s what I found:

Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow in I-544

I am a huge fan of the MUFE Artist Shadows. They’re smooth, buttery, and blendable, so I was super excited to see this beautiful pink granite shade in my box. I was a little less excited when I discovered it was a shade I already had in my MUF Artist Palette Vol 1. Either way, it’s a beautiful color.

Popsugar Must Have MINI Box | April 2016

I’m sure many of you have heard of the Popsugar Must Have Box. It’s a subscription box that contains around 5 full size products from various genres (beauty, fitness, home, food, lifestyle) shipped to your door for $39.95 a month. Over time I’ve fallen in love with this box, despite its higher price tag. With the Must Have box I really feel like I’m getting a nice gift, rather than a bunch of little samples, and since most of the items are a surprise, it brings me great joy to open it.

If the price tag for the regular Must Have box is a turn off, you’re going to love this. This month Popsugar released a new subscription: the Popsugar Must Have MINI Box! This is the same idea as the regular box, but in a smaller package. Rather than containing 5 items, the mini box only contains 2 full size products and costs $18.95 each month (plus tax). While I only have one box so far, I can tell you that I got more than my money’s worth in the April Mini box and the products chosen are just as lovely as in the normal box.

February 2015 Popsugar Must Have Box

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box of full size beauty, fashion, food, and lifestyle items delivered to your door every month for $39.95. While that seems a little steep for a monthly box, rest assured that I haven’t been disappointed by a box yet. This February box is no exception. It’s filled with a bunch of goodies that are perfect for spoiling yourself a little bit this Valentine’s Day.

Foodstirs Heart Cookie Mix ($12.95)– Foodstirs is a little company cofounded by Sarah Michelle Gellar (aka Buffy the vampire slayer) that send you complete baking kits that are free of artificial ingredients, GMOs, and preservatives. This heart cookie mix came with the mix, a heart shaped cookie cutter, sugar crystals for decoration, and instructions, all in a cute little pouch. I know what I’m making my Mister for V-day. Choix Subscription Box Review

Subscription boxes are everywhere you look nowadays. You might even be subscribed to one (or multiple) boxes. I love them because it’s like getting little fun presents shipped right to me every month. While the surprises are great, have you ever wished that you could choose the items that come to you in a subscription box? If so, Choix is the beauty subscription box for you.

Choix

The word Choix ((pronounced SHWAA) is French for “choice,” so the name is pretty genius. Not only does it look pretty and sound fancy, but the name tells you a lot about the box in one word. Choix is a beauty subscription box that sends you 5 samples of your choosing every month. With products ranging from makeup for the entire face to skincare, it is an ideal box for the beauty enthusiast in your life who is a firm believer in “try before you buy.”

Choix carries a limited number of brand names, but the brand names are on the very high-end side, so I find that I am never at a loss for products I want to try. Just a few names found on the Choix site are:

Popsugar Must Have Box – October 2015

I have been wanting a subscription to Popsugar Must Have Box for so long. I treated myself to the May 2014 box with a coupon, but haven’t gotten any since.
