I’m here today with a super exciting announcement! My Tieks family has grown! *insert happy feet dance here*
So as to not confuse anyone, I felt the need to emphasize my Tieks family..meaning the shoes. Hubby and I are not expanding our family. Just to be clear..
I am now the proud owner of my second pair of Tieks by Gavrieli. For those of you that don’t know, Tieks are an amazing, comfortable, beautiful, and functional ballet flat. Made from Italian leather (except for their vegan options), these shoes have a design that makes them the most comfortable pair of ballet flats ever. That was the cliffs notes version. 🙂 Here’s a more thorough description.
Along with comfort, these shoes also come with a pretty hefty price tag. While I find this sad, mainly because I want a pair in every single color they offer, the price tag definitely reflects the quality of the product. Tieks are 110% worth every penny! I will continue to stand by that statement.
Having CMT, it’s pretty difficult for me to find shoes (that aren’t gym shoes) comfortable enough for my troublesome feet to walk in. That’s the reason I initially took the plunge and bought a pair of Tieks. Once my beautiful matte black pair was broken in (it takes a few wears, but it’s worth it) I actually felt like I could wear the shoes out and about without a problem, which is huge for me. I was hooked, and there is still no sign of turning back.
For my second pair I opted for the nude patent Tieks. While there are about 10 colors I’d like to own, I felt that the nude pair would match pretty much anything I decided to put on, including brown and navy outfits, which my black pair wouldn’t work for. First, I love the beautiful, shiny look of the patent collection. It feels like they have a different personality from the matte pairs. Also, I don’t know if it’s just me, but I think this pair fits even better than my matte pair. That could just me me being crazy. 🙂 All insanity aside though, for my goofy feet, I found that this patent pair actually broke in even better. Sometimes, in my matte pair, because of the way my feet are (and through no fault of the shoe), you can sometimes see that my feet aren’t shaped “normally.” In this patent pair, my feet actually sit perfectly straight! I thought I couldn’t possibly love Tieks anymore, and then they gave me a reason to. Amazing!
I have a whole post about why I think Tieks are worth the price tag, so I won’t say too much more here. I just had to share my excitement about my latest addition to my collection, as I know they’ll be showing up as an accessory to many of my outfits. Thank you, nude patent Tieks, for being a piece of shoe perfection. <3
