A few days ago (May 30th), my Timehop app informed me that it was 2 years after I had posted my very first post on my blog. I can’t believe I’ve been at this for two years. Granted, I’ve only been super serious about it for the last 8 months or so, but posting on and off about various things I love takes a lot of work.
My blog has gone through 2 face lifts, both of which were done without the help of any professional coders. I’ve tried different kinds of posts and touched on a bunch of different topics as I worked to find my voice behind Diva and the Divine. In the more recent months, I’ve finally started interacting with companies, creating relationships with other bloggers, and feeling like my little place on the internet could grow into something bigger. It’s a great feeling, and I owe it all to you.
Yes YOU: the person that takes a few minutes out of their day to google something and you stumble across a link that happens to take you here; the person that is my personal Facebook friend and reads my posts in order to be a supportive friend or family member: and you, the person that somehow knows that there is a blogger living under the title Diva and the Divine and somehow, you actually find my words worth reading and you hunt down my site rather than find it on accident. No matter how you end up visiting my little piece of the internet, from the bottom of my heart, thank you! While writing is something that I can continue to do despite having people see it, it’s all of the readers, shares, comments, and followers on social media that make Diva and the Divine worth having as a blog rather than as a journal that sits on my bedside table.
Here are some of the post that you, my readers, have decided are the favorites:
- Confessions of a Weight Watchers Lifetime Member (the weight maintenance struggle is real, my friends)
- You Know You Have CMT When (real life struggles for those living with CMT, like me)
- Tieks by Gavrieli: Are They Worth It?
- Teami Blends 30 Day Detox – a review
- The Erin Condren Life Planner (a 2016 LP review will be coming soon!)
- An Introduction to Studio L2E Planner Stamps
I’m very optimistic about future of Diva and the Divine. My hope that my blog will continue to grow, change, and ultimately a place that people can come knowing there is a welcoming community around the topics that Diva and the Divine touches on. Whether you want to talk beauty products, weight loss advice, or your favorite planner stickers, I welcome you all to become a member of this community I’m hoping to form. Whether you chat with me on my Instagram or follow the blog on Twitter or Facebook, come be a part of the Diva and the Divine community.
Thank you all for the continued support. I can’t wait to see what the next year holds for my blog, and I hope you’ll go on the adventure with me.
