August Favorites

August has come to a close and September is in full swing.  I already laid out all of the reasons I love this new month in my September goals and my September watch/wishlist posts, so I’ll spare you the extra reading here.

Today, I have just a few favorites for you. So few, in fact, that I am not filming a video on it this month.  Let’s dive right in.AugustFaves

Origins GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser– This scrub is a new favorite simply because of its amazing orangey citrus smell.  I like to use this in the morning to wake myself up with a little aroma therapy.  It’s a gentle exfoliator, but it gets the job done. Love this!

Rosebud Perfume Co. Rosebud Salve in a Tube– This is a multitasking balm, but I use it specifically for my lips.  This tube, which is much more convenient to use than its original tin form, sits on my night stand and is one of the last things I apply before going to bed.  I wake up with super soft lips.  This balm has also proven very useful in a few extreme dry skin situations I’ve had over the last month or so as well. At $6, I will be purchasing this again.

Neil Patrick Harris: Choose Your Own Autobiography– This is NPH’s new (ish?) book, and I would recommend it to anyone who is at all an NPH fan.  However, I specifically recommend the audiobook version.  NPH narrates it himself and does an amazing job (as usual). I have never laughed out loud while listening to something so many times in my life.  The book is so full of fun, humor, and heart, and the audio book adds his expressiveness and voice on top of it, making it an audiobook I will undoubtedly listen to again.  When the book ended I went through a depression very similar to the one that happened after finishing the last Harry Potter book.  No joke, guys, it is that good!

And that’s all she wrote.  It hasn’t been a very exciting month of product discovery for me, but I am sure September will be full of favorites! After all, it is the start of my favorite season! 🙂

Until next time, friends!
