It’s a new month, which obviously means it’s time to set some new goals. I love April because it feels like the official start of spring in Chicagoland, which means green might actually come back to the trees and there is potential for some higher temperatures, which make me a super happy camper. This month my goals are all about starting fresh and keeping it simple.
Weigh less than I did at the start of the month: My weight loss has been super slow sicne the start of 2016, and it gets really discouraging when you don’t hit a goal as simple (or so it seems) as losing 5lbs. This month I’m not putting a number on it, but my goal is to finish the month weighing less than I did at the first of the month. ANY progress is still progress.
Declutter several areas of my home: Spring cleaning time is here! While we already discussed ways to spring clean your computer, there are still some other little things I’d like to get cleaned out and organized this month. My goal is to tidy up:
- My beauty drawers: Time to get rid of samples I’m not really planning on trying, expired products, and removing products I’m simply not using or loving.
- Linen Closet: Our linen closet is actually a host for quite a few genres of things. I just want to go through it and see what I can change. This also includes getting rid of expired medicines and products that could be hanging out in there.
- Under the sinks: This kind of goes with the linen closet, as many of the things under my sinks could be in the closet and vice versa. It’s just time to reassess what I’ve got (and remember what I have..let’s be honest) and find homes for these items that make a little more sense.
Read 2 Books: I’m sticking with this reading thing. I’ve become a member of Scribd, which is a reading lending library that gives me access to 3 books and 1 audio book per month for $8.99. It has a great selection of books from my personal reading list, and my goal is to make the most of the the fee by reading through as many books as I can. I’m currently reading “Cold Tangerines” by Shauna Neiquist.
Post 2 blog posts and 1 video each week (minimum): I have to throw some business goals in here, of course.
That’s it! I also feel it is important to reward yourself for a job well done, so if I succeed at all of my April goals, I will be treating myself to something off of my April Wish List. I think that might be a new trend for me. It’s always easier to accomplish goals when you know there is a treat at the end of it for you.
What are your goals for this month?
